Earwax removal is a regulated activity if:

  • The person and a listed healthcare professional both agree there is a problem that needs intervention; and
  • The treatment is carried out by a listed healthcare professional

If this applies to you, you must register with the CQC for the regulated activity of treatment of disease, disorder or injury.

We are unable to comment on the cost of registering with the CQC as it depends on varying factors, it is best to contact the CQC directly about this. However, if you would like further guidance on the policies, procedures and audits we supply, we would be happy to arrange a free demonstration of our system so you can see what is required when registering with the CQC. Please let us know if this is something you think would help you at this stage.
