NCA Seminars

September 29, 2014

NCA logoThe National Care Association has asked us to post the below message on their behalf.

Dear Colleague

As you will be aware there is so much going on this year for Social Care providers:-

  • The Care Quality Commission is to introduce a new methodology for inspection on 1 December along with a new ratings system.
  • The Department of Health has consulted on a new set of regulations for the inspection of social care and separately on a new offence of ill treatment or neglect.
  • At the same time the failure of local authority funding of care to keep up with inflation remains a major issue in many areas.

National Care Association realises that keeping abreast of all the changes whilst providing services daily is a substantial challenge. In order to support you we are holding two seminars one in Norwich on the 16th October 2014 and one in Hertfordshire on the 27th October 2014.

The seminar will look at:

The new CQC methodology and the Key Lines of Enquiry that will be used to help to inform ratings. We have invited them to attend to outline their proposals for the new inspection model and for the ratings system. A CQC inspector has spoken at previous seminars and we hope they will continue to support our seminars.

This will be an important opportunity for providers to hear their proposals with implementation so close.

We remain mindful of issues raised by providers about Safeguarding. We will be covering this at the seminar too.

We do hope that you will be able to join us as we are very keen to hear what you think about all the latest developments.

For more information or to book your place, please contact National Care Association on 01634 716615 or e-mail [email protected]  We look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,
