Sheena began her nursing career in the late 1980s. In the early 1990s, a growing interest in dementia prompted a move into specialist dementia services and residential nursing care, leading to 20 years in services management roles.
Having a keen interest in the education and development of Health Care Assistants, Sheena moved into healthcare training and development in 2012. She has developed many courses and workshops and implemented them in nursing homes across Ireland. She holds a Master’s degree in Dementia from Trinity College, Dublin and has studied personal & business coaching to Master’s level.
Sheena has retained her nursing registration and currently works with care providers. She offers dementia consultancy, management coaching and staff training, in addition to her regular content contribution work with QCS.
Sheena is fortunate to live in the heart of the scenic Wicklow Mountains National Park and in her spare time enjoys painting, writing and spending time in the great outdoors with her partner and dog.
